Lydia Pruhs was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and is currently a junior in high school. "The Effects of Summer on the Soul" is the poetry prodigy's first book, and she has been writing since she was in 8th grade. She has always been inspired by the seasons, and says that "even the passing of a cloud over the sun can have a significant effect on [her] day."
