Kelly Esparza is an editor and writer who holds BAs in English and Creative Writing from the University of Arizona. Her short fiction, essays, and poems have been published in various literary journals and anthologies. In 2021, she received a Pushcart Prize nomination for her YA fantasy short story, "Destiny Says," and her YA romantic short story, "Take the Jump," made it on the longlist for Voyage YA Journal's Anthology Contest.

She has a new poetry chapbook, A SPOONIE'S GUIDE TO SELF-ACCEPTANCE, out now (Bottlecap Press, 2025)! Buy it here: https://bottlecap.press/products/aspo...

For novels, she writes mystery novels with romantic subplots and sometimes incorporates the paranormal as a subgenre for teens and adults.
