J. Ivanel Johnson is the pen name for an author with (dis)Ability who now lives in the Appalachian range of Northwestern New Brunswick on a small farm overlooking inspirational views. Her cozy mystery series, the JUST (e)STATE is set in the Canadian provinces of NB, Ontario and Yukon.
Like her grandmother before her (the 'Ivanel' of her pen name) she has written her entire life, first publishing two poems with Annick Press in Toronto when she was only 11. She has been a high school English and Drama teacher, working and living in the highlands of Scotland, the moors of Yorkshire, and the Rockies of Montana and the Yukon, before settling in the east of Canada. ...more

Johnson liked an answer from Patricia Rosemoor: personally, I hate romance, but the way you write it makes it sound exciting and I love how your books aren't only about romance but actually has a meaningful storyline to it. Also, do you think romance is true? because I always see people suffering from it. I want nothing to do with romance but I often wonder why other girls want to be part of it How great that I can make romance come alive for you. That's the goal of all romance authors I know.
