Daniel Allison is a USA Today bestselling author, oral storyteller and podcaster from Scotland. He is the author of Irish Mythology: The Children of Danu, Scottish Myths & Legends, Finn & The Fianna and The Orkney Cycle: The Shattering Sea, as well as the forthcoming Scottish Myths & Legends Vol. II.

Daniel’s hosts the House of Legends podcast and trains storytellers online through his Myth Singers Celtic Storytelling Apprenticeship. He leads annual mythic immersion retreats in the Scottish Highlands which guide participants towards a living relationship with Celtic and Nordic myth.

Daniel Allison Since publishing Irish Mythology: The Children of Danu, I've turned my attention to two ongoing projects: Scottish Myths & Legends II and The Orkney C…moreSince publishing Irish Mythology: The Children of Danu, I've turned my attention to two ongoing projects: Scottish Myths & Legends II and The Orkney Cycle: The Spey Queen. I'm on the third draft of Scottish Myths II and about 2/3 of the way through the first draft of The Spey Queen.

The former will definitely be out this year, I'm hoping the latter will be completed and available by winter solstice 2024.

I'm also enjoying coaching my Myth Singers students and working towards my 2024 summer retreat with Candlelit Tales and Danica Boyce. (less)
