Leanne Olson is an American children's book author born and raised in the dry and sunny Columbia Basin in Southeast Washington State. There she spent her childhood swimming and boating on the Columbia River, under the blazing sun, darting rattlesnakes on walks through sage brush laden trails and picking luscious concord grapes fresh off the vine. Childhood soon turned to teenhood, teenhood to adulthood when Leanne settled on the opposite side of the Cascade Mountains in the beautiful Willamette Valley in the state of Oregon.

Though as a hobby, Leanne, enjoyed writing, it wasn't until 2009 that she began to actively pursue a writing career. Having worked with children since 1997 Leanne was inspired to focus her writing on children's literatur
