J. D. Evans writes fantasy and science fiction romance. After earning her degree in linguistics, J. D. served a decade as an army officer. She once spent her hours putting together briefings for helicopter pilots and generals. Now she writes stories, tends to two unreasonable tiny humans, knits, sews badly, gardens, and cultivates Pinterest Fails. After a stint in Beirut, J. D. fell in love with the Levant, which inspired the setting for her debut series, Mages of the Wheel.

Originally hailing from Montana, J. D. now resides in North Carolina with her husband, two attempts at mini-clones gone rogue, and too many stories in her head.

Update on Book 4

Yes! I know! It's been a lifetime. Life threw a few curveballs at me - a second kiddo that arrived ten weeks before he was supposed to , two moves, COVID, etc.
But- that second kiddo is now two and has a *somewhat* predictable schedule and my brain is clear enough for creativity. I am halfway through Ice & Ivy (book four) now, and anticipate a summer release for it. Thank you for your patience. Wh Read more of this blog post »

J.D. Evans liked an answer about Storm & Shield: Help!! While reading Wind & Wildfire, my brain thought I read book two and I moved onto Siren & Scion but now I'm realizing that I skipped it! Do I go back? Can I continue to Ice & Ivy? Will (have I already?) I mess up the timeline? A unique problem but I hope I hear back soon 😭😂 I can't wait to start reading!!! Asha

So yes, I think you should read Storm & shield before you read Ice & Ivy, but I don't think it will cause you too much issue at this point.
