Two years apart. One desperate reunion. A love no magic can break.
Pytr Gardnir made a promise: return home in one year with enough coin to buy a farm and build a life with his wife.
That was two years ago.
Now he’s trapped in the Towers of Silver City, where humans learn to wield magic—and where no one leaves alive. But when a desperate man begs Pytr to rescue his wife from the Towers’ grip, Pytr sees a chance. If he can get one person out, maybe he can find his own way home.
Liv Gardnir has waited long enough. Her husband swore he’d return, and she’s never known him to break a promise. So she sells everything she owns, travels to Silver City, and buys a ticket for the one night the Towers opens its gates: the full moon tour.
What she finds inside changes everything.
A steamy second-chance romance about the promises we keep, the magic that binds us, and a love worth risking everything for.

Signed Paperbacks!
I finally took the plunge and opened a store for signed paperbacks!

As of this morning, you can buy signed paperbacks from the Flame and Blade, Fallen Hearts, and Killers of the Towers series – and they’re slightly cheaper than the paperbacks on Amazon.
Still in the works – the Deceptions and Dragons series, prints of character art, full series bundles, and swag!
You’ve been asking for a way to buy signed paperbacks since, well, forever… and I’ve been avoiding it because I’m severely allergic to website design. But I took a few deep breaths, faced my fears, and—
It wasn’t that bad, honestly.
Now, I’d love to know what you think!
Come on in, have a look at the store, buy a book if you’re so inclined… and please let me know if anything looks wonky or doesn’t work!

We’ll be at Grump and Sunshine Bookstore in their new Portland location: 40 Free St STE B.
Come on down, and I’ll happily sign books for you in person!

Let’s Hang Out!
I’ve only been on Discord for a few months, and I love it. It’s so… text-based
So, I started my own Discord server: Meredith Hart’s Book Wyrms.

It’ll have updates on my publishing schedule, sneak peeks at my WIPs, discussion boards for each of my books – even the Samantha MacLeod ones – and pictures of cats!
What could be better, right?

Writing Update

As I’m reading the reviews for Monster of the Deep Forest, the same thing kept coming up…
Okay, I’ll do it!
“I am not sure if author Meredith Hart will be making any more books from this universe, but the ending left me feeling like there might be? I really hope so.”
“I hope there is a spin off in the future as it did leave off with several possibilities.”
“I may or may not have been excited when Syrus and Reznyk came back into the story. I would love to read more with the three of them maybe a prequel of them together at the Towers in Silver City.”
“As another reviewer proposed, it would be great if Meredith wrote a prequel depicting life in the white towers when the gang was young and in training together.”
I’m working on a prequel short story about Aveus, Syrus, Reznyk and the mysterious fourth Elite, Pytr. It’s going to be a quick adventure about their time together in the Towers… and I have big plans for it, so stay tuned!
In the meantime, here’s a no-context screenshot for you:

Well, isn’t it?

It’s been a week!
Today marks one full week since Monster of the Deep Forest came out, and the Killers of the Towers series wrapped up. Crazy, right?
The Deep Forest is the idea that launched this entire series, even though I decided to make it the final book.
And now?
Aveus and Inira have been out in the world for a full week, along with Bairgus the sassy raven and the other Elites who escaped from the Towers.
I honestly didn’t know how this one was going to go over. I never do, really – I just cross my fingers and push the release button, and then the characters and the world that have been living inside my head are suddenly Out There, meeting readers. It’s always a little scary, letting my books out into the wild.
So, thank you!
From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for your comments, messages, social media posts, and reviews.
I couldn’t do what I do without you, and I’m so grateful to be part of this awesome reader community.

Review of the Week: Monster of the Deep Forest

Fabulous world building “I really enjoyed this final book in Meredith Hart’s god-killers series.
Inira and Aveus are a great new couple, each bringing strengths that complement and wounds that are healed by the other.
But what fascinated me the most is the intricately imagined and wrought world Meredith has created. Each book takes place in a different environment, and the Deep Woods, with its branches and root pathways, wellsprings of magic, and islands of land, was utterly captivating and mysterious. I also loved seeing the other two couples coming to aid them at the end (hope that’s not a spoiler).”

Welcome to the Deep!
The final files are uploaded, the paperbacks are formatted, and the final book in the Killers of the Towers series is out of my world and into yours!
I’ve been working on Monster of the Deep Forest for years. I absolutely fell in love with these characters, especially a certain sassy talking raven. I’ve been wanting to write the Deep Forest for years, and I hope you enjoy exploring it as much as I did.
I think Monster of the Deep Forest is a wild ride and a fitting end to the series. But you don’t have to take my word for it…

“This is a truly beautiful story. I just finished reading it and I can tell that I’ll be thinking about it and feeling the emotions for a long, time.”
“A fast-paced romantasy adventure that did not disappoint. This may be my favorite of the series.”
“I think this may be the best one yet.”

Paperbacks are coming!
Thank you to everyone who asked if I’d make a paperback version of Monster of the Deep Forest. The answer is YES!
I’m uploading the files today, which means I should have an actual paper and ink book in my hands in a week or so. And you could have one too!
While we wait, here’s the gorgeous cover from Stef at Seventh Star Art…

And a special thanks to the people who asked if I have signed copies for sale. For now, the answer to that question is no… not yet, at least.
I will be signing books at the amazing Grump & Sunshine in Belfast, Maine on October 25. So, if you’d like so see some spectacular fall colors and get a signed book, save the date!
Happy reading!

This is the month
The kids are back in school, the nights are getting chilly, and the Killers of the Towers series ends this month!

Monster of the Deep Forest comes out Sept. 17!
It’s the final book in the Killers of the Towers series. It’s an epic, steamy, stand-alone romantasy adventure with magic, hidden identities, a woman who discovers she’s been a badass all along, a man who learns that love is worth the risk, and a sassy talking raven who might be my new favorite character.
But you don’t have to take my word for it. Check out what my ARC readers are saying:
“I loved this book just like the others SO MUCH! I really enjoyed following this story and getting to the gooey ooey center of the drama, love and spice. In my opinion it’s really hard to do a captivating romantasy book and Meredith constantly is pulling that off for us. When you are in search of your perfect match and you finally find it and it changes your whole world…. reading about that is just so fun. Thank you for the opportunity to read this I can’t wait to keep reading more from you!! I highly recommend this one!!”
“This is a truly beautiful story. I just finished reading it and I can tell that I’ll be thinking about it and feeling the emotions for a long, time. Meredith Hart has such an amazing talent for conveying her characters emotions. Love and redemption that pulls you in. Just beautiful”
Click here to read all the reviews on GoodreadsAnd I love it when my IRL friends text me messages like this…“overall this book was amazing and tied everything up nicely for all characters on their path and if you haven’t read it or the other books in the series I implore you to go read them because who doesn’t like brooding men with deep trauma finding their baddie other half and righting their wrongs!”

Thank you so much to all my ARC reviewers, IRL friends and internet friends!
Your reviews really do keep me going, and I’m so honored to share Aveus and Inira’s story with you.
