A proud wife of a retired Air Force officer, mother of one son and grandparent of three grandchildren, Ellen, didn’t start writing until retirement years, and even then, she considered writing a hobby. After a lifetime of personal adventures, travel and escapades (a lot of risky escapades), she is living her sunset years bouncing around tennis and Pickle Ball courts, or clicking away on her keyboard.

On a more personal note, in Ellen’s young adult life she was a flight attendant for the charter airline Saturn. These charters afforded her the opportunity to travel all over the United States, Europe and Asia in a DC-7. On a more personal note, in Ellen’s young adult life she was a flight attendant for the charter airline Saturn. These charters afforded her the opportunity to travel all over the United States, Europe and Asia in a DC-7. Her most exciting and intriguing times were escorting United States troops in and out of Viet Nam (Saigon, Bien Hoa, Camron Bay and DeNang). Her adventures in the war zone continued until she was swept away by her fighter pilot husband – whom she has been married to for almost 55 years.

During 2000-2008 she wrote three books, but tucked away the unpublished manuscripts for various reasons. After a lot of encouragement from family and friends, in 2017 she reopened old computer files of those three books, wrote and rewrote them, and finally, published BOOK I -SONS OF CUBA – Prelude to Revolution and BOOK II - SONS OF CUBA - Homecoming — a historical fiction that is a two book series. Both books were released in the fall of 2019. The reasons she wrote about Cuba and the Cuban people are a story in itself.

Even though she thoroughly enjoyed writing the historical fiction, her heart belongs to the suspense thriller genre. This is what she mostly reads and enjoys writing about because this was the way she lived her life. She has discovered there is infinite joy in creating flawed characters and putting them into seemingly impossible situations. INTO THE DEVILS DEN - Snared by Their Own Lies is her first suspense thriller — a story about terrorist’s living in the shadows of our own backyards. This book was released in the fall of 2020.

In the spring of 2020, while COVID-19 was wreaking havoc throughout the United States and around the world, she spent the boring time in quarantine writing SHATTERED LOYALTIES.
