Children of Tax and Tea (humorous illustrated viking book)

Now raiding and pillaging on Kickstarter!

meadhalloffame

Children of Tax and Tea is a humorous book for fans of all things viking-related. It is a 300+ page, full-color throughout, heavily illustrated hardback that covers the history of the Viking Age from the charmingly profane perspective of a foul-mouthed Bostonian. The book stems from McSweeney’s longest-running humor column, "Norse History for Bostonians," that Rowdy Geirsson created in 2010 and that Matt Smith (Hellboy Winter Special: The Yule Cat, Barbarian Lord) has illustrated since 2017.

It's live on Kickstarter until September 4th, and every backer who supports the campaign also automatically joins the book’s Meadhall of Fame special acknowledgements section. Other bells and whistles unique to the Kickstarter edition include:

—Exclusive chapters that will never appear anywhere else
—Printing on premium paper throughout
—Signed by both author and illustrator

And possibly more! Depending on the mood of the norns and the strength of the shieldwall.
