In 2013 an elderly gentleman named Robert Goddard showed at my school unannounced. He had read a newspaper story about the work my students had done to tell the story of George Arsenault of Rumford, ME who was killed in the World War II and is buried in the Rhone American Cemetery in Draguignan, France. It happened to be the same day that a local news story was broadcast on TV about our work. Little did I know that I would spend the next 9 years getting to know his brother, Lewis Frelan Goddard.
I’m so excited to announce that this journey has resulted in a BOOK!
That’s right, the book “Jedburgh Sacrifice: Teaching About the Second World War With the Stories of The Fallen” will be published VERY SOON! Please share this website and/or my social media links for more information about the book and how to purchase a copy!
