"Ellie", I said to myself, "You are finally ready, to explore the seven continents. Ready or not world, here I come!"
I am Eleanor Grace. World explorer extraordinaire, and Oscar-winning actress.
Ok ok, so I hadn't won an Oscar yet...but I planned to. You can do anything, if you just believed, right? As for world explorer, I would be after this trip. This trip around the world was exactly the inspiration I needed, as a rising superstar. Time to do some soul searching, greet new adventures, and maybe even learn a few things?
This trip around the world was my parents' gift to me, on my twenty-first birthday. Seems a little extravagant, for a twenty-one year old? Don't blame them. I was the one who asked for it.
You see that my parents were top-notch successful lawyers, who made up for their absences with lavish gifts, and unfortunately, even more lavish excuses. In a lawyer's world, time was money, and every minute was worth many $$$, so they had very little time to spare. Luckily for me, the bigger their absence, the greater went up my price tag. Unfair of me, you might say? Well, to be fair, I was their only daughter. I might add...I also inherited the gift of strong negotiation, and intense bargaining, from them.
How did I do it? You should know that almost everything in life, is negotiable. The secret is how to ask for it. My strategy went by understanding what the other side wanted. Next, I figured out how to get what I wanted, and made it seem like the other side was winning. Lastly, I was ready to walk away, and at this vulnerable point, the other side would most likely strike a bargain. To be extra successful: Rinse and repeat, until you emerged victorious from your battle.
I knew that my parents didn't mind, in fact, they encouraged my take charge attitude. It made them proud, when I stood my ground... even brought a tear of joy, to their normally, steely and unreadable, eyes. I would grow up to be just like them, maybe even a magnified version of them, if it weren't for Cassie.
Cassie was the only one who humbled me, stopped me from being a spoiled, entitled diva, and brought me back down to earth. She kept me balanced.
Cassandra Grace, or Cassie as I called her with love, was my best friend, in the entire world. My opposite in every sense of the word, and I wouldn't have changed her for anything, or anyone. It was especially hard saying goodbye to her, seeing that I wouldn't see her in person for about a year, as I went on my big trip. We were also roommates, living in the same apartment for a few years, ever since we both dropped out of High School together.
Yes, you heard right. We both dropped out of High School together, deliberately. My negotiation skills almost came to a breaking point, but I managed to convince both our parents, to let us take charge of the direction of our lives, as independent (almost) adults, for a few years. I mean we were only seventeen then. "What if we failed spectacularly?", our parents asked. "Then, we would go back to schooling, and university", I said.
I wouldn't had been so brave, if Cassie wasn't there by my side. Cassie didn't realize this, but I couldn't have done it alone. You see, she saw me as invincible, and always 100% sure, of my path. Her believing it so, made it true, and gave me that strength.
In terms of our outer appearance, we looked quite different. I was blonde and fair with blue eyes, while she had mysterious green eyes, and even more captivating dark, wavy tresses. It was hard to get many sentences out of her, but when she did say something, it was poetry...it was Shakespeare...it was a siren's song...it was eloquant, and spell-binding. The great irony was that she remained unaware of her powers. I am sure there will be a time in the future, when she will recognize her divinely given gift of words, and mesmerize the world as a writer.
Right now, she didn't even know what she wanted to do. I mean it was so obvious to everyone else! Sigh. I love her to bits.
You would never find me stuck in analysis paralysis, and overthinking, once I made a choice. I knew my choices wouldn't always be perfect, but I also knew, that I would be ok, with whatever happened. Risk was a part of life, and without it, you can't spell adventure. That was a bit poetic, wasn't it? I guess all that poetry from Cassie was rubbing off on me, though I can confidently say, that her most daring adventures, were confined to the pages of the books she reads.
Anyways, moving on to the story, so why did I decide to go on this crazy adventure? Although, I had managed to snag a few acting roles here and there, I hadn't come across major, critically acclaimed, level roles. I wanted to be known as more than the pretty girl in the soda ad, or the one time hit, action movie star. I was grateful for the success that I had experienced so far, but I wanted directors to take me seriously, and consider me for challenging roles. I think that being a world-class traveller, would help get me that edge, that gravitas, and certain je ne se quoi, non?
Did I tell you that I have a talent for languages? On my bucket list for this trip, was to learn more languages, especially hone up on my spanish...in Spain, and Mexico, Italian in Italy, a little French would be good....as well as Japanese? Pinch me, I feel like I must be dreaming. This is exciting! I truly couldn't wait to start this trip....

Writerly Thoughts
Hi everyone,
I was glad that my Indie April blog posts were productive and that I was able to review many great Indie books last month. Since it has been a while, I wanted to update you all on where I am in my writing, and what my goals are for the coming months.
Book review goals:
I would love to get more ratings/reviews. It is always a thrill to hear back from readers (and to know that they are enjoying my books). The Stone Mermaid has received a few reviews since its February release, which is wonderful. I hope that more readers will give my romance fantasy a chance, and add it to their reading list ❤
Book marketing/promotion/ads:
This still remains a elusive, magical unicorn to a mere mortal like me 🥺 The ultimate dream is to have people buy my books because of word of mouth and others readers’ recommendations. I will continue working hard. I won’t stop until I can write a book that is emotionally resonant and that moves your hearts. I promise you this 😊
My current WIP (work in progress):
Sleeping Beauty No More will release in mid July. Each book that I write seem to have different writing challenges. I went through a dull phase while writing, which thankfully has passed. I feel like this book will be better shorter, but we will see. I was feeling meh about this book until I added a Romeo/Juliet side arc. I will also pay homage to other scenes that I feel are the most romantic in literature. The book became more exciting by adding a dragon 😆🐉
Writers write about writer’s block (😅) but there is another challenge that I face: When the ideas/thoughts rushes in like a flash flood. In those crazy moments of crashing thoughts, I get paralyzed and can’t type/write fast enough. I know that some writers use dictating programs to record their ideas. Maybe I will look into this, but I hesitate as I will have to get used to hearing myself recording, lol. I have lost a few great ideas/dialogues/scenes because I couldn’t write them down, and then I forget them when I sat to write 😔
These are all the thoughts for today 😊Thank you for reading this blog post and for following me on my writing journey.
I hope that you have a wonderful day!
My upcoming book is available on Pre-order if you like to check it out: books2read.com/SBNM

Prepping for new fantasy book release
Hi everyone,
Today I wanted to update you all about my writing. My newest book, Sleeping Beauty No More, will release in a month (Eep!) on July 17th. I am in the final editing stages and it is going good.
Like my last fantasy book, this book is also action packed (Yes, there is a dragon). I really like the characters and their individual arcs. I will give you a sneak peek from a few pages of the upcoming book (pgs. 3, 13, & 14):
https://aishauroojbooks.wordpress.com...
Devon and Aurora’s first meeting is hilarious (she hates his guts). I can’t wait until you can read the entire novel. Sleeping Beauty No More is available as a preorder right now: books2read.com/SBNM
In other book related news, my romantic comedy, Midnight Prince, is now available as an audiobook worldwide. It is also available through Libby. I would love for all my audiobooks to be available in libraries, unfortunately, that is out of my current budget. I hope lots of readers discover my books, and then I will be able to do that 😊
I don’t ask this often, but please remember to leave a review. Reviews and word of mouth help books gain visibility, and are especially great for a small Indie author like me.

New Title: The Nine Muses (Coming Soon)
Hi everyone,
I have been working on a fun new project that I wanted to share with you all. The story will be based on Greek mythology. The release date is soonish (October 16th). Check out what I am working on below 😊
Thank you for reading and I hope that you have a great day!
They say Muses inspire the greatest of artists, artisans, thinkers, and poets, but what inspires them?
The nine daughters of Zeus are struggling with their talents, so their father orders them to go to a mortal high school. The muses are not amused at being sent to the mortal realm to find inspiration. Thalia, the muse of Comedy, proclaims that ‘High school is where creativity goes to die’. Her sisters agree, but is she right?
Will Zeus’s experiment work? Will the visit spark his daughters’ interest and inspire them to do their best, or will this be the end of creativity, as we know it?
The humans will meet the Muses for the first time. Perhaps the greater question is: Can the mortals survive the nine feisty daughters of Zeus? Or will they fall victim to their mischief?
Don’t miss this fun new release!
*Amazon link: https://mybook.to/TNM
Release date: October 16th, 2021
(*I will put the universal link when I have it)

The Nine Muses- Coming soon!
My newest book is about the nine muses. The nine muses, goddesses in Greek mythology, each inspire a special talent.
According to Greek myth, these nine sisters rule over the arts and sciences. They are the deities of song, dance, and memory, who give the gift of creativity, wisdom, and insight to a fortunate few.
Polymnia is the goddess of hymns, who is often seen wearing a veil in her depictions. I imagined her to cast a spell over the mortals with her beauty. In my story, she has many admirers.
Erato is the goddess of love poetry. Based on her talent, I made her a hopeless romantic and popular with suitors as well.
Clio is the goddess of history, who carries with her a scroll. Based on that, I saw her as a meticulous note-taker, practical, and an analytical thinker. In my story, she becomes obsessed with board games and puzzles.
Melpomene is the goddess of tragedy, who wears a tragic mask. I imagined her as introspective and quiet.
Terpsichore is the goddess of dance. I imagined her dancing everywhere she went, and having fun learning new dance moves from the mortals.
Urania is the goddess of astronomy, who carries a globe. I wrote her as someone whose eyes are always searching the stars, and one who quickly joins the astronomy club in the mortal high school.
Thalia is the goddess of comedy, and keeps a shepherd’s staff. To me, she is the queen of funny (and punny) jokes.
Euterpe is the goddess of music. You won’t find her anywhere without her flute… which becomes a problem when Headmistress Ehtel confiscates it.
That leaves Calliope. Goddess of epic poetry. The ringleader. The chief of the muses. Zeus’s most troublesome child. In my story, she is feisty and outspoken. A rebel who refuses to do as she is told, but does as she feels.
I hope that you grab a copy of The Nine Muses 😊

Release day: The Nine Muses
It is here!
Today’s the release date for The Nine Muses! 🎊
I told you about the nine muses in my previous email. (If you missed it: https://preview.mailerlite.com…)
But what’s a story without a villian?
Or is it, what’s a villain without a story?
Boredom and monotony can sap the creative energies of our muses, but what if there was a real external threat?
Their father, Zeus, god of thunder, has many enemies including sibling rivals, Hades and Poseidon. Their mother, Mnemosyne, is titan goddess of memory herself!
The muses themselves, however, also have rivals.
So, who is the villian of the story?
(And who would want to mess with such a powerful family? And why?)
I can’t wait for you to find out!
I promise the reveal will be epic 😎
The Nine Muses is a myth retelling of the Greek goddesses of arts, inspiration, and poetry.
Ebook is only $0.99 for a limited time. The Nine Muses is available on paperback.
In other exciting book news: I received an update my book, The Stone Mermaid, is now available on audible and iTunes. The narrator, Dante E. Chandler, did a phenomenal job capturing Victor’s alluring voice.

New comedy novella: Divine Terror
I am excited to tell you about my latest book, Divine Terror. This is the second book in the Divine Error series (a dark comedy; urban fantasy comedy).
I meant to complete it six months ago, but got sidetracked by other projects. For those who waited, it is finally here!
Here is the blurb:
Damon and Saynt are back on Earth again, this time for another tough assignment. They are calling the human a ‘divine terror’. Who is the new human, terrorizing angels and demons alike?
Now that Damon and Saynt are working for different and opposite realms, can they still work together? Or will their new roles cause strife in their friendship?
The story continues in Divine Terror. Expect more fun, loveable, quirky characters; a handsome adversary, and the return of Mr. Whiskers!
The book releases today March 14th, 2022 at Books2read.com/DTE
I am excited!
Thank you for reading!
