Hey everyone,

I am checking in from the halfway mark of Under Broken Stars (Endless Sky #3), and let me tell you... the tension is thick.

I knew going into this "mafia arranged marriage" trope that it was going to be a bit of a slow burn. Nick (our straight cowboy) and his new husband have been dancing around each other, trying to figure out how to make this forced marriage work to save the ranch.

But now? We have officially crossed the line from "simmering" to "boiling over."

The spice is finally hitting, and it is hitting hard. There is something so satisfying about a slow burn finally snapping, and writing these two figuring things out (physically) has been incredible. I think you guys are going to love the payoff.

Quick check-in from the writing cave because I am having way too much fun right now.

I am officially halfway through Grit and Grace (Sagebrush Cowboys #7), and I’m going to make a bold claim: these might be the best characters I have ever written.

Xavier (our high-strung NYC wedding planner) is absolutely fighting for his life against the lack of espresso and the surplus of dust in Sagebrush. The banter between him and the locals is incredible—he reads them like a book, and they just stare at him until he stops talking. It is hilarious.

But the real magic? It’s him and Sheriff Marcus. 🥵 The chemistry is immediate, and the scenes I wrote this week are... well, let's just say they are out of this world. It is very sexy, very funny, and I cannot wait for you to read it.

Hey everyone,

I am officially declaring myself 100% back in action!

The sickness has finally left the building, and I am feeling like a human being again. To celebrate (and because my muscles forgot how to exist), I actually went back to yoga this week. There is nothing quite like trying to hold a plank pose to remind you that you are, in fact, alive and not in as good of shape as you hoped. 😅

It feels so good to have my brain and body back online, which is great because I need all the energy I can get for what I’m writing now.

I have started Grit and Grace (Sagebrush Cowboys #7), and oh my god...

You guys. You guys.

I knew this one was going to be fun, but I didn't expect to be laughing this much already. We have Xavier, a Manhattan wedding planner who is absolutely losing his mind over spotty Wi-Fi and dirt, and Sheriff Marcus, who is... well, he’s the law.

The vibe is basically "high-maintenance city boy in a crop top" meets "stoic sheriff who is terrified of his own feelings."

Marcus is deep in the closet because of his badge and his family legacy, and watching Xavier accidentally wreck all his carefully built walls is just delicious. It’s hilarious, but it’s also hurting my heart in that good, slow-burn way.

Hey everyone,

I’m checking in from the living room couch. Most of you know I’ve been battling a bug over the past two weeks, and it’s been one of those "rollercoaster" recoveries. Some days I feel like I’m finally turning a corner and ready to conquer the world; other days, the world—and the couch—definitely win.

The good news? I am officially on the mend. I’m moving a little slower than my usual self, but the fog is lifting, and the creative juices are finally flowing again!

Despite the sniffles, I have been grinding away at the world of Duskborn, and I am exactly one chapter shy of finishing the draft!

Writing Silver and Ash has been such an emotional journey. There is something so sweet about Silver—this Twilight prince with violet skin and the weight of a kingdom on his shoulders—finding his soul’s match in Ash, a "forgotten" witch who thinks he’s meant to stay in the shadows.

If you love fated mates, dark academy vibes, and that delicious "forbidden royalty" tension, this one is going to hit hard. Between the childhood love spells and the looming threat of a crown that won't accept their bond, I’ve been pouring every ounce of my (admittedly slightly feverish) heart into these final scenes.

I can’t wait to start sinking my teeth into this one (pun absolutely intended).

2. The Holiday Report I hope you all had a magical Christmas!

Me and my two partners had a honestly fantastic holiday. We managed to see family, eat an obscene amount of food, and do absolutely nothing productive. It was perfect.

Luna (the black lab manager of this operation) also had a very good Christmas. She was spoiled rotten, received approximately 5 new toys, a sweater, and is currently snoring loudly enough to shake the windows. She regrets nothing.

I'm heading back to the writing cave soon to make more monsters kiss, but for now, I think I'm going to follow the dog's lead and take another nap.

We are officially in the "how is it already December 25th-ish" part of the year. You know the one—where my diet consists 90% of peanut butter M&M's, I’ve forgotten what day of the week it is, and my brain is running at maybe 10% capacity.

I wanted to pop in with a quick update on what’s happening in my world before I go into full holiday hibernation mode!

We’ve got a mountain of new toys, treats, and a brand-new sweater waiting for her. Shhh—don’t tell her yet. She's already clinically insane and the sweater will hopefully help her calm TF down.
