Movement practices are part of my daily routine—whether it's yoga, running, walking, strength, or some combination of the above. When I move and connect to my breath, it's easier to deal with the absence or onslaught of thoughts that can paralyze me at my desk. It also makes sitting more comfortable once I get into the writing flow! (less)

I work through ideas and questions I have about different concept in Ayurveda, philosophy, and other things in life on the page, and the dual action of a healthy brain-dump then editing and curating those words is extremely clarifying for my learning process. I also love being able to reach new people and share yoga and Ayurveda with them through writing. In my experience, these practices are best learned in an embodied way, but if I can write about them in a way that entices someone to try a movement or experiment in the kitchen with less fear, I feel like I've won big.
