Ria Patricia Röder is a German-Portuguese visual artist currently living and working in Berlin, Germany. She received several grants and art awards, and her work has been shown internationally in solo and group exhibitions.

Drawing inspiration from literature and film, Röder is interested in the term "microfiction" as established by writers such as Diane Williams. Her most recent book #chainofaction (12/2019) is the result of an artistic experiment - Röder invited eleven (fiction) authors to each select a single Scanogram and create a text in response to it. Their fascinating contributions show us in eleven distinct voices how an image and its pictorial elements can trigger a narrative #chainofaction.
