Amber Morrell has been writing stories since she was seven years old. As a teenager, she attended Idyllwild Arts Academy to formally study creative writing. She went on to earn her BA in English Literature at Cal State Fullerton and her MS in Library Science at San Jose State University. A passionate children’s librarian and public servant, Amber has worked in libraries for over a decade, where she shares her love of reading and learning with the world. She lives in Orange County, CA with her wife, daughter, and two fur babies. In her limited free time, Amber enjoys playing D&D, watching Star Trek, and learning obscure local history facts. Her first novel, The Alchemy of Letting Go, was published in 2023.

Comic Con 2026 Recap

Last weekend, I had the privilege of attending Comic Con 2026 in San Diego. Comic Con and I have a long history. I first attended Comic Con when I was four years old. I don’t remember much, except that I saw a firetruck outside our hotel window and I got to paint a real car at the children’s museum. I had priorities, okay?
