Born in Germany. Living in Ireland. Lover of cult films and paperbacks. Photographer. German tutor. Salaryman. Loves to travel.

As a writer I have written a lot of cult film related reviews for various websites and fanzines and am currently in the process of making some of the older material more easily accessible via e-Books while also creating some new stuff.

Most important for me is a series of books dedicated to the German Krimi and Thriller movies of the 1960s, the first of which "The Many Masks of Dr. Mabuse" has just been published.

As a reader my tastes are pretty eclectic but genres that I tend to read a lot are:

*Crime and Mystery - Great fan of Sherlock Holmes in all his incarnations, Modesty Blaise, James Bond, other serial heroes a

Another podcast appearance and a book in print

Earlier on this month I guested on another episode of the CULT CONNECTIONS podcast, this time dedicated to MINIKILLERS, a series of Super 8 shorts starring none other than Diana Rigg.

This production is so little known that it inaugurated a new occasional series of "Cult Curiosities" within that podcast and can be found on Spotify (or wherever else you usually get your podcast fix.

"Finally got around to reading the fairly recently published English translation of Thea von Harbou's novel "the Indian Tomb" which was adapted 3 times to film, the third time it was adapted it was directed by one my favorite directors Fritz Lang!

“Yesterday upon the stair
I met a man who wasn’t there
He wasn’t there again today
Oh, how I wish he’d go away

When I came home last night at three
The man was waiting there for me
But when I looked around the hall
I couldn’t see him there at all!
Go away, go away, don’t you come back any more!
Go away, go away, and please don’t slam the door

Last night I saw upon the stair
A little man who wasn’t there
He wasn’t there again today
Oh, how I wish he’d go away
