All the books on writing advise you to write at least 1000-2000 words every single day without a break. It's great advice, and I fully agree that the more frequently you write, the easier it is for you. Not just to keep going, but the quality of your work also improves.
BUT- practically it's impossible for many of us to write everyday. And I honestly think we shouldn't beat ourselves over it. This is creative work and ideas may not pop up everyday. You will find yourself unable to think a single word on a particular day and it's OK. Be kind to yourself. Pick up a book you like and be inspired.(less)
Deepti Srivatsan When writing, I can be the things I cannot be in real life. There are no rules in writing. I just want to produce work that people will enjoy.

4.5 stars for me. It’s a single person narrative from start to finish (a 9 hour interrogation if you will), and the format takes some getting used to. The protagonist is a 65 yo island woman who is accused of murdering the woman she keeps house for. ...more
