As an author of short stories and metaphors, it is sometimes necessary to explain why I write small, bite sized pieces rather than long volumes of narrative. Well, my answer is that things, in my books, are not described in detailed poetic terms. You know what a rose looks like without having it described in lengthy descriptions to give you details of its anatomy.
