Time Walker’s Journal – Peacemaker Refund
You may have noticed a PayPal refund this weekend if you ordered Time Walker’s Journal – Peacemaker through my website.
The crux of the matter is that I’m stepping away from Sam’s story for the time being.
Every time I return to the manuscript, I feel drained. Writing it doesn’t bring me joy anymore. Over the past two years, I’ve faced significant health challenges, and working on this book has unfortunately become a trigger for me. These emotions seep into the story, affecting its quality...

2023: The Year I Went to Bed
In 2023, I went to bed.
Every year, I struggle with finding the right title or phrase that fits the year. Not this year. In 2023, I went to bed and stayed there. I ate most of my meals in bed. My son visited me… in bed. I got out of bed long enough to shower and sometimes leave the bedroom. But then I went back to bed.
These year-end summaries have been a part of my life since I was thirteen. I didn’t always publish them. I didn’t keep them. Sometimes, I didn’t even write them down. But, o...

Time Walker’s Journals: Peacemaker is delayed.
Short version:
I’m pushing the release date for Time Walker’s Journal: Peacemaker again. (Yes, again. I’m so sorry.) I’m not setting a new date. It will just magically appear one day in 2023.
The Longer Version:
I’ve learned a lot in the last three and a half years of being a published author. Here are my top seven:
Holy shit! I can write a book. I had no idea.People read my books. What?!? Crazy.I love writing. Stepping outside reality to build a story makes my heart and so...Time Walker’s Journals: Peacemaker is delayed again.

A Delay in Peacemaker – Time Walker’s Journals
Well, hello!
It’s been a hot minute since I posted an update. I wish I had happier news for you.
This afternoon, I am officially delaying the retail release of Peacemaker – Time Walker’s Journals until July 28, 2023.
If you purchased the book from me (via Patreon or the website), you’ll receive your download code on July 25th (a few days before the retail release.)
So, what happened?
I think this book is cursed. I’ve been working on this book for more than eighteen months. And it...

Maggie, Why Did the Books Leave Kindle Unlimited?
I’ve decided to part ways with Kindle Unlimited. Given a horrible run-in with Amazon, the rising subscription fees, and the falling author pay rates, it is sadly time to move on.
If you’ve been around for a while, you probably know my issues with Amazon started in 2023. I yanked the books out of Kindle Unlimited at the time, then ended up returning to the program. Frankly, I needed Kindle Unlimited to keep food on the table. Now, with a fresh day job, improving (mental and physical) health, a...

I’ve decided to part ways with Kindle Unlimited. Given a horrible run-in with Amazon, the rising subscription fees, and the falling author pay rates, it is sadly time to move on.
I am sorry for this inconvenience. I know money is tight everywhere. At this time, I have no intention of returning to the program in the future. Kindle Unlimited requires ebooks to be exclusive to Amazon. As the saying goes, I can’t keep all my eggs in one basket, especially when Amazon has demonstrated it can destr...

How I Became an Author
One of the most frequent questions I get asked is “Why does everything happen at 3:13 AM?” The real-life answer to this question has everything to do with how I became an author.
First, it’s important to know I’ve had severe panic and anxiety disorders since my son was born. Like, I couldn’t put my infant son down because I was afraid he’d stop breathing. I had to be within touc...

2022: The Tortoise Year
At the end of each year, I spend some time reflecting on the closing year and my hopes for the year to come.
If you visited this website before I lost all the content, there were similar posts for 2020 and 2021. Those words are lost now, maybe to be found at a later date. I might be able to dig them out of WordPress. I haven’t tried.
But I’ve written these reflections annually...

There was a mishap!
There was a mishap!! Yesterday, I spent hours trying to figure out why an email address wasn’t working… and somehow deleted my entire website. After futzing with the backups into the wee hours of the night, I decided to scrap it and start fresh.
So, hey world. I hope your day’s going well and you’re stopping by to learn more about my books. Have a question? Drop me an email through the contact form. Want to...
