TAKEDOWNS AND RERELEASES

TAKE-DOWN ANNOUNCEMENT
And a surprise fae series
Books that will be taken down, then re-released this week:
1. We Are All Villains Here
2. BLACK WORLD 1 & 2
3. WINTER PLAGUE SERIES
4. WITCHHUNTER (new title: The Witchhunter’s Witch)
5. DARK FAE EXTINCTION 1 & 2
6. THE PRINCE’S PRISONER
7. PESTILENCE (new title: Death’s Curse: How Death Loved and Destroyed Me)
I’m only aware of issues with these particular books thus far. The others aren’t affected at this time.

Many of you will be aware of the technical issues and glitches with a few of my books ever since combining novellas into full books. I’ve been wrestling with Amazon for a while to have these errors corrected and force updated onto your devices (ebooks and kindle unlimited copies).
This fix was supposed to have officially happened a month ago—but more readers than ever are streaming in with fresh technical issues, from receiving only a sample when purchasing a full book, or receiving the first book twice when the bundle of 1 and 2 are purchased.
There are no more fixes on my end that I can possibly do to correct this for the readers, and Amazon have claimed to have done their part and force updated the right content to readers and their devices, but this isn’t the case.
So now, I have little other choice than to do what I’ve been avoiding for years. Take down a lot of books, then re-release them with new ASINs and the right content. This is now the only way for readers to have the books they have ordered.
The problem with this solution is that a lot of readers will lose their highlights (kindle unlimited only – if you have purchased an ebook or, obviously, paperback, your copies will be unaffected).
I do lose all of my Amazon reviews in this process, which isn’t fun for me, but it’s best for the readers to have actual access to the books they want to read, and Amazon are no help anymore (neither are the bots they keep responding with).
I apologise to the readers who this will affect, via loss of highlights of kindle unlimited versions, and to the readers who this has been impacting for a few years.
To make the best of a murky situation, we have fresh covers!
And now that we’ve dealt with this glitchy annoyance, we can continue with Cursed Shadows… and a new DARK FAE series coming soon.
If you’ve been reading Cursed Shadows, then you have met Alasdare… or Dare for short. Let’s just say he’s one of my favourite characters—and he wrote his own unhinged story that will take us back to the human world apocalypse and all his depravity.
More on that soon!

VILLAINS ARRIVE ON 23rd APRIL

𝗠𝗔𝗬 𝟭𝟵𝟵𝟭

No one moved.
Not a single one of the five girls that were crammed into the car made so much as a noise, not even a whimper. Muscles hardened, they’d all become statues. Frozen in a beaten-up car with a thick splash of fresh blood running down the windshield.
As though all the liquor and coke had suddenly been sucked out of them, they were rigid and silent in their seats. The sobriety of the body lying limp a few feet ahead on the road hit them all.
They all just… stared.
𝘋𝘳𝘪𝘱,
𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘱,
𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘱.

The only sound that broke the silence, the silence so thick that it was fast becoming suffocating, and Billie struggled to breathe. Lightheaded, she listened to the drip, drip, drip: Blood, she assumed, falling from the smeared hood onto the road.

𝘋𝘳𝘪𝘱,
𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘱,
𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘱.

Then, finally, someone moved. And it wasn’t the body ahead on the road with a puddle of blood starting to pool around it.
It was Kate.
The passenger seat creaked as she leaned forward.
Billie flinched, blinking out of her daze. The burn of nausea started its crawl up her throat. She swallowed down the bile-burn and watched her closest friend twist towards her.
Kate’s hand should have been shaking as she reached for the driver’s side, but it somehow was steady, something that Billie noticed even in her stupor.
Billie’s seafoam-blue eyes watched Kate’s delicate brown fingers grip the end of the wiper stick with a pinch of her manicured fingers then tug it down.
Billie flinched.
Behind her, the twins—Gigi and Tonya—gasped in a hushed unison. The faint slap of a hand on a mouth came not a second after; Carmine muffling her own groan of disgust mixed with a burpy-retching sound.
It was… nauseating. The sight of fresh, thick blood hit over and over with a wiper, spreading out into something brownish and streaked.
“I can’t.” Billie’s whisper was so deafening in the car that it might as well have been a shout. “Kate…”
She turned to face her friend next to her. The weak pallor of Billie’s complexion matched with the numbness of her freckled face made her look sicker than if she was on her deathbed. “Please…”
Kate knew.
It was written all over the change in Kate’s angular face. Understanding. The shift from blank numbness, shock, and disgust…
Kate’s hard brown eyes and Billie’s watery blue ones, locked in a stare that seemed to last an eternity. A silent conversation, unspoken communication. Utterly in sync with each other.
Setting her jaw, Kate yanked the doorhandle and booted the door open.
Then a second screech of a door came.
Billie twisted around in the driver’s seat. Her glassy eyes landed on Carmine in the backseat as she clambered out of the wagon, right behind Kate, shaking like a leaf in a storm. She might have just blown away at the slightest gust of wind.
Behind Billie, the twins stayed in place. The three of them stayed planted in their seats, none willing to move, none willing to join the others now treading up the road.
They watched, instead. Watched as Carmine and Kate linked hands, fingers entwined, and treaded their way over to the crimson puddle spilling over the gravel… over to the lump on the road. Each step they took was hesitant and uneasy, like they were forced to trek across a minefield.
Billie felt that was exactly where she was. Planted right in the middle of a minefield. And in just a heartbeat or two, the whole place was gonna blow.
She was waiting for it. Heart hammering in her chest, pumping blood beneath the translucent pallor of her skin, glass-blue eyes empty of everything but fear and tears.
All she could do in her frozen state was… watch as they reached the body.
Kate and Carmine just stood there. Toes of their boots at the edge of the blood puddle—the puddle that had stopped growing.
A pulse seemed to hit Carmine. She jolted forward, head flopping just once before she was ready to sick up her dinner all over the body—
Kate acted fast.
Whatever decisions she’d come to, she kept in her actions only and shared with no one. She snatched Carmine by the head, clamping her hand to her mouth to stop the sick—and she rushed her back to the car.
Billie had not even a moment to jerk back as Kate threw Carmine through the open passenger door. That did it—that was the longest Carmine could hold back the sick. It spewed from her all projectile-like the moment her gut hit the edge of the seat.
Billie braced herself. Arms crossed over her turned head, her face twisted, and she felt it splatter all over her thigh.
Before she could even whine her complaints or fully acknowledge the sympathetic retching bursting into harmony from the twins behind her, Carmine coughed once, twice, then sucked in a sharp inhale.
“It’s him.” The breath had been sucked right out of Carmine, leaving it only a wispy pathetic excuse for a voice.
Kate’s jaw was likened by her tone, harder than stone, “Henry Maxwell.”
Tension whipped around them. It came in the form of silence.
Billie knew her own thoughts. If it had to be anyone, Henry Maxwell was one she wouldn’t miss. But it also spelled a whole lotta trouble for each one of the girls.
Henry Maxwell was rich for this town. Not wealthy for the city where the elites live most of the time. He was a prep. Not among the elite of Dosserport, not a wasp, but so fucking close to them that he might as well be called an untouchable.
Henry Maxwell was a golden boy.
And them? The girls? They were from the other side of town, on the other side of the tracks.
Then came the real hit when Kate confirmed, “He’s dead.”
Billie knew what she meant by that, how to read into Kate’s warning.
All five of the girls knew the words that weren’t spoken:
‘𝗪𝗲 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝗺.’

VILLAINS TEASER

Preston’s lashes lower over coal-black eyes. His pink upper lip curls as he rounds on her.
Billie just watches him.
Her eyes are dead… or they should be, because that’s how she feels inside… but then she feels the warmth of a tear run down her cheek.
She doesn’t so much as swat at the tear.
It’s too late to try and hide it. He’s seen it—his gaze shifts to her cheek for a mere millisecond before he comes to a stop in front of her.
Her back presses a tad harder against the refrigerator as his hand presses against it, right next to her head. “So,” he repeats, towering over her, “why don’t you start telling me the truth, Billie? You owe me that.”
Billie’s lips twitch with a smirk.
Liquid courage? Pushing him away? She doesn’t know anymore.
And yet—
She smirks. “I don’t owe you shit, you rich entitled—”
It happens too fast for her to see it coming. But in a blink, his hand pulls back from the fridge, clenches into a fist, then smashes right into that same spot, right next her head.
Billie flinches. “What the fu—”
“You owe me everything!” he shouts down at her.
In this moment, his want to break her, it was more than a passing craving, a fleeting urge. Rather it was surging up inside of him, blood boiling and crashing like furious waves, an all-consuming need.
She could read it in his blazing eyes.
He adds darkly, “And I owe you everything I fucking have, you selfish bitch, you good-for-nothing alky.”
Her eyes widen, turn wild with the same rage that snarls her lips. If he braces himself for rotten, rancid words aimed his way, then he braces himself wrong.
Billie jerks her head forward—not with a headbutt, with a spit.
She spits right at him, and the gloss of it catches his cheek.
Preston’s lashes lower, his eyes shut.
He’s still for a beat, a statue with a fist pushing into the refrigerator door, his other hand fisted at his side, and a wad of spit on his cheek.
He lifts his hand.
Slowly, he opens his eyes—and looks right into her fucking soul with the kinda promises, the kinda threats that only the devil can make.
This time, she can’t fight her tremble. It runs up her spine, but she lifts her chin and meets his stare dead-on.
Bring it.
Instead, he touches his fingers to the spit… He wipes it away in one swift move, then brings it to his mouth.
Their eyes stay locked.
Her jaw tenses—
And he licks his fingertips.
Billie and Preston have had fights before. Some real nasty shit. Wouldn’t be a lie to say she’s hit him with a vase or two before. Or tried to clip him with her truck.
Some real nasty shit, she’s never denied that.
But never… never before… has she been afraid of him.
Not like this.
She swallows, hard. A lump in her throat, swelling. Tears in her defiant eyes, flowing.
Billie flinches with a yelp—
Preston snatches her by the neck.
With one hand, he pins her against the refrigerator. His body shoves against hers, his other hand grabbing the meat of her thigh, hard. Her skin screams in protest, but before she can utter a word, he’s hiking her leg over his hip and crashing his mouth down on hers.
Her shout is muffled, almost silenced, by his mouth. A kiss that tastes of her tears and his rage—of their poison.
A poison she’s so fucking addicted to.
Teeth aching, and the back of her head pulsating against the hard, dented refrigerator, Billie hits out at him. One hard fist to the side of his head.
It doesn’t stop him. He only shoves her up the cold door, off the floor, and his mouth twists against hers.
“I fucking hate you,” he growls and—hand abandoning her thigh—reaches down for her pajama shorts. With a single tug, he rips them apart, between her legs, right at her core.
And jolts of electricity fire through her.
Billie gasps something breathy into his mouth.
Tell me again.
Tell me how much you hate me.
Tell me anything but love.

Novellas, No More!

This is the official end of the ‘rapid-release’ novellas!

I’ve been considering this move over to full length novels only for a while now, and after some chats with my readers, it’s undeniable that the vast majority aren’t loving the novella style.

So, here we are!

Much of the changes have already been put into place through Amazon. Novellas have been taken down, and the full books put in their place instead.

What does this mean for you?

If you have purchased a “box set”, there is no need to worry! Since you have purchased this book, even if it is now unavailable to buy, it will remain on your reading device. This won’t cause you any changes.

If you have purchased novellas – all you have to do it update your kindle content if it hasn’t already updated automatically for you. This update will get rid of the novellas and replace them with the full books.

No one will lose anything they have purchased.

And, for future releases, novellas have been stripped from pre-orders.

All releases from now on will be full length, including Dark Fae Forsaken, Gaslight Her, Villain (secret project), and Den of Serpents.

*PRE-ORDERS* Please check what you have pre-ordered, and ensure that it is a book you are interested in, as some have been altered. Amazon should update you on these changes, but just in case!

WITCHHUNTER and all the juicy deets

Dark Paranormal Romance. FANS OF THALASSA AND HUTCHINS WILL DEVOUR THIS SERIES

'I want to hurt people, those awful, unspectacular humans. But the Hunters …? Oh, what I wouldn’t give to tear them limb from limb.'

The land is divided into two, split by the dangerous mountains that cut us into two: Home of the Hunters and the home of the Witches, forever at war.
Once, I belonged to the lands where people and Hunters live — until the Change came and my family whisked me away to the mountains, seeking safety for my rising witchery. They didn’t make it beyond the mountains and the Hunters that lurk there, ready to slaughter my kind and anyone who helps us.
But I made it out.
And I promised on the very day that I was orphaned, I will dedicate my life to the utter destruction of all Hunters across the land, even if it costs me the last breath in my body.

…and that final breath seems to be inching closer when a mission to save Witches before the Change goes so terribly wrong, and I wind up a prisoner of a Hunter so beautiful that his face is just asking to be torn apart.

*.*.*.*
WITCHHUNTER is a four-novella series released in KU ‘RAPID’ style. For purchase-to-read and paperbacks, please check out the box set which will be better suited to those not enrolled in KU.
