Emma Goude is an award winning filmmaker who emerged from behind the camera to tell her own story. Having had seven psychiatric admissions, she has written 'My Beautiful Psychosis: Making Sense of Madness' to challenge the perception of psychosis as a stigmatising illness. After ten years working as a shiatsu therapist, Emma came to appreciate her experiences in a new way. The word 'psyche' comes from the Greek word 'soul' (Psyche is the Greek Goddess of the Soul) and the word 'osis' which means 'process'. So Psychosis can be seen as a soul process.

Emma is currently writing her next book, 'Tango, Camino, Romeo', another memoir, which is a love quest, pilgrimage and travel adventure taking her through Spain, Guatemala and Argentina. Through ...more
