Urtzi Elorza nació en Barakaldo (Bizkaia) y vive en un pequeño pueblo del Valle de Yerri (Navarra). Es escritor, guionista, profesor, estudiante de Dirección de Cine y fotógrafo aficionado.

Después de un infructuoso paso por el rap durante el Bachillerato, se pasó a la literatura, allá por 2014. En 2020 publicó la recopilación de relatos "Un sábado cualquiera", en 2021 apareció en la antología "Misterios entre las olas" (Ediciones Dorna) con su relato "Las tres olas de Deba" y en 2023 publicó una novela juvenil titulada "Una clase de amigos", animado por unos exalumnos, con el ambicioso (y quizás utópico) objetivo de hacer que los adolescentes disfruten con la lectura; cuya traducción al euskera verá la luz en el 2026.
