Valentine’s Day

I began counting down the days to Valentine’s Day since last October.

It wasn’t because I was looking forward to it.

I knew I would be single for it–again–and the sadness that came with that knowledge and realization threatened to drown me. After being single for so long, one would think I would be used to the disappointment on said day, but nope–maybe although my search for Mr. Kinda-Right has turned out to be an impossibility, a small part of me (a very small part of me) still hope...

water and touching slimey things until you find the utensils, I’ve made a concious decision to date. After all, no one really wants to be alone forever.

A friend of mine had good luck on Hinge and suggested I try. Reluctantly, omg so reluctantly, I decided to download the app and it took a few days for me to even create an account. Each time I thought about it got painful heart palpitations that felt ...

Dating – WTF Happened?

Y’all!

What happened to dating while I was away?

As a little girl, one of my dreams was to become a wife and a mother. I never once imagined how the world would change when it came to the search for Mr. Right. I don’t think if someone had asked me then, I would even be able to come up with what’s happening right now–I mean, online dating–what?

Now, I’m going to be the first person to tell you how desperately I dislike Taylor Swift for using her relationship implosions to write hit s...

The Amber Heard v Johnny Depp Dumpster-fire

I’ve tried to stay away from this entire thing because at first, I just thought it would blow over sooner or later. But it seemed Johnny Depp (JD) is hell-bent on holding Amber Heard’s (AH) foot to the fire and from everything that has been exposed in this trial, it seems he has reasons to make her suffer.

So, let’s rundown some of the lies that it has been exposed through the trial that AH has told to get paid for her article and other things.

The issue ...

My Top 5 Rom Coms

Mills & Boon: The Art of Romance | Books | The Guardian

When I was younger, I always loved a good romance. I guess ever since I was eight and found my mother’s box of old Mills and Boons underneath her bed. You know the ones – no diversity. The same old white male, blonde woman in a jarring position on the cover. Then they graduated to the Indigenous man with the blonde woman – yup, those ones. But as the years went by, I grew older, and started dating, I stopped watching Rom Coms.

I mean, it’s not that I don’t believe in romance anymore–hell,...
