Don't keep banging up against the block, shift your attention to something else and let it flow. Even writing a description of what you did yesterday, or how much you love your dog, or a review of your favorite movie, anything, can help you get your fingers in sync with your brain while you give your block a chance to dissolve.(less)

In this first novel by a now accomplished author, I can see how she attracted attention with her prodigious literary skills and elitist education. Zadie Smith is brilliant. But this book is too long, and the ending is anti-climactic.

Clitapalooza by Billie Best
"I've been following Billie Best online for several years, and have enjoyed her humorous takes on life, love, and aging but I had no idea that she was so tech-savvy. To be honest, there was a little too much tech detail for me, but I enjoyed the story" Read more of this review »
