Kiran Darnal (Nepali: किरण दर्नाल) (born November 27, 1960) is a Nepalese engineer, specializing in water and sanitary engineering. He is the second son born to his parents, Ramsharan Darnal and Harimaya Darnal, in Kaldhara, Kathmandu. An alumnus of the then Leningrad Institute of Civil Engineering, the USSR, he has three decades of work experience as a civil engineer. He now works as a consultant in water and sanitation sectors. He continues writing poems and short articles whenever he feels inspired by any event or incident.
