Claire Pence is a retired educator living in the beautiful River Valley of Northwest Arkansas. She attended the University of the Ozarks, Arkansas Tech University, and the University of Central Arkansas. After retiring, her attention turned to writing, drawing on experiences from nearly forty years in public education. In addition to working as a classroom teacher, Claire has been employed as a reading specialist, librarian, and literacy interventionist. Claire and her husband have four children, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and three granddogs. In addition to pursuing her lifelong love for writing, she teaches a Bible class for women and encourages her husband in his ministerial work.
