V Day IV – Let’s Talk About It!

Spoiler Alert 🚨

Do not read unless you have read the book:

So V Day IV is out and making its rounds. You guys gobbled up this book and I’m grateful. Apologies for the typos and formatting issues. Hoping Amazon will allow you to download the updated version soon.

There will be a final book V Day V! And some of you have asked about a Dell & Angel sequel. Mmm…I wasn’t expecting to write one, but, I bend to demands, We shall see?

But let’s talk about V Day shall we?

Tina had to learn the har...

Spoiler Alert: V Day III Convo

So V Day III is out and the results are in. Y’all liked it! It took me a little longer than I thought it would, but I’m glad I didn’t rush it.

If you haven’t read the book yet, stop now and get into it. For the rest of you beautiful people who took the time to read about these characters that live in DejaVerse, let’s talk about that ending shall we?

I’ve been getting tons of emails and DMs discussing it. I have to be honest and say that I went back and forth on adding that epilogue. But ...

2023 WIPS and Change Excite Me…

This is firstly a gratefulness post. Typically these year end submissions are goal oriented for the new year, full of hopes and dreams. I do have some new ones, and will be discussing what I’ve got in the works, but this year, I thought I’d share some things I’m grateful for instead and hope I don’t bore you too hard in the process, so here we go.

HEALTH

For all of the last five years, my eldest son has been sick and spent months at a time stuck to a hospital bed. This year, he spent no time...

New Release: When Dell Met Angel

And it only took me one millennium!

GET INTO IT NOW!

I must say, this one’s a little bittersweet because it was most certainly a labor of love.

Honestly, this was probably one of the hardest books to write, mostly because of its length. It’s a whopping 500+ pages which I didn’t realize until I uploaded it onto KDP.

This is my first full-length novel (I didn’t necessarily intend for it to be) and it was not an easy feat. I’m sure you’re thinking, well of course it’s not, who said writing a n...

New Release and What’s In the Works

Hey all!

I’m super excited about my upcoming new release, At the Deep End: In Deep, Book 3 in the series.

Who doesn’t love a wedding right?

Bri and DeeDee are getting married! But it’s only been a year. Are they foolish or simply lucky in love?

As their wedding day approaches, Bri’s resolve is tested when DeeDee’s slow path to full transparency creates new doubts, a friend’s troublesome news leaves her distracted and a major wedding snafu threatens to derail her dream occasion.

V Day II: Character Highlight & Wins

So V Day II was released and it has been my best effort on a personal level. It was my goal to make one of my most disliked characters redeemable and I think I achieved that.

V Day I was a mixed bag of reactions and I expected it would be. Tina is an extremely polarizing character and you either love her or loathe her and truth is, I’ve always been drawn to strong personalities. There’s always a simple story behind their actions and motivations and I don’t shy away from exploring that.

I d...

Apologies, Admonishments & Aspirations 2022

Happy New Year gang! 2021 ended in a lackluster Omicron doozy canceling well made plans and stripping some of that holiday joy, but I had the people I love around and enjoyed this Holiday season nonetheless.

At this time I typically reflect on the year. Last year at this time I wrote about a few resolutions I prefer to call Aspirations and I’ve decided to take an inventory on how well I’m doing. 😳

My aspirations were as follows:

CONSUME LESS/PRODUCE MORE 👀

CONNECT MORE 😩

PUBLISH H...

It’s Christmas Time!

So this week was awesome. I got two surprising reviews that I feel were double woot-woots!, not just for their glowing words, but for their impact. Opened me up to a couple new readers and I’m grateful as I suck at marketing big time and need all the help I can get. Interestingly, it was for my first Christmas book, The Bluest Christmas, which is one of my faves I’ve produced so it meant a lot.

So if for some miracle you’re reading this, thank you AnneMarie and Dell for your kind reviews. And ...

In the Works…

I’ve been busy. Wrote a whole story, a continuation of Nola’s story from my Christmas novella, The Bluest Christmas, titled When Nola’s Smiles. I intended for it to be a short story, but I don’t always get a say on how the story fleshes out. Lol! It turned out to be far darker than I expected it would be, but we’re talking about emotional and physical abuse. How could it not be? Either way, I wanted to make sure it wasn’t a complete downer. Their love for each other was my focus and I hope that ...

The Process of Writing and the Thing About Rotten Reviews

At the Deep End: Deeper, the sequel to my debut novella is out and though part 1 didn’t necessarily make big waves on account that I literally just threw it out there to see if anyone would care, the feedback I got early on did give me the motivation to keep writing. It had decent reviews…up until I got a doozy (which was to be expected) of a review just a couple of weeks before releasing part 2.

😬  😬  😬

Talk about inconvenient!

I understand that I should take reviews with a grain of salt, but...
