This was an intelligent story. The author employs a nice trick, in that the narrator is the main character and he’s unreliable. It takes you a while to realize you can’t trust his version of events.

A perfect graphic novel. Well- drawn, fun, philosophical, and you walk away learning something. Read the whole thing on a beautiful spring day at work, allowing me to agree with Derf- some jobs are better than others.

A great little book. Two funny people meet in a bar before their weekly marriage counseling session, and hilarity ensues. I kept thinking it would make a great play. Not a life-changing book, but definitely a fun two-day read.

“This book is the story of that system – the rise to power of Putin’s KGB cohort, and how they mutated to enrich themselves in the new capitalism. It is the story of the hurried handover of power between Yeltsin and Putin, and of how it enabled the rise of a ‘deep state’ of KGB security men that had always lurked in the background during the Yeltsin years, but now emerged to monopolise power for at least twenty years – and eventually to endanger the West.”
