Malcolm Maclean is a Glasgow Gael and visual artist who has transitioned into an arts producer and heritage consultant based in the Outer Hebrides He co-founded Scotland's first Gaelic arts centre, An Lanntair, in Stornoway, and went on to lead the national Gaelic arts agency, Pròiseact nan Ealan for 25 years. There he co-founded the national festivals association Fèisean nan Gaidheal and the Ceòlas summer school and helped originate the Gaelic television service. Producer credits include the St Kilda Opera, the international touring exhibition, An Leabhar Mòr/The Great Book of Gaelic and the BAFTA winning arts TV series, Tacsi.
