Nan Adel was born in New Jersey but grew up in the West Park area of Cleveland, Ohio. Her sons were also raised in a west-side suburb of Cleveland. So, why not base her book in that area? Write what you know. She writes about time travel. Make your own conclusion.

She now lives with her husband in a small town northwest of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Good or bad, she wrote long, eventful, and silly letters to her brothers while they served in the Air Force. Yes, back in the 1970s, people still took pen in hand and wrote letters on paper, and mailed them. Letters to family and friends in other states were more like short stories than quick letters.

Nan daydreams about events that fit into her stories, then adds them to the current novel she's writ

Beautifully written

What a lovely story. It's simple, it's real, and it's got heart. This is a unique story about two people traveling together. Each has hidden pain. I even enjoyed where they stopped as tourists. I recommend this book if you want to

This was a pleasant story

The ages of the characters didn't feel quite right. Alice's age and her friends seemed much younger than their ages. I had to keep reminding myself they were 30. They acted like their late teens or early 20s. Her mother and h

Longing for More by Eleanor Romany
"Okay, but who gave Eleanor Romany the right to write a romance that makes you want to pack your bags and move into a state park? Longing for More is cozy, heart-tugging, and basically the definition of “healing vibes only.”

I thought this book had such promise but the story was not just flat, but annoying too. There were so many boring details about making lunch, making dinner, going upstairs to get the girls ready for bed, playing in that darn garden. Why? Word count? ...more

Gilda Radner
“I wanted a perfect ending. Now I've learned, the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next.
Delicious Ambiguity.”
Gilda Radner

William Faulkner
“Writing is a solitary job--that is, no one can help you with it, bu there's nothing lonely about it. I have always been too busy, too immersed in what I was doing, either mad at it or laughing at it to have time to wonder whether I was lonely or not lonely. It's simply solitary. I think there is a difference between loneliness and solitude.”
William Faulkner at the University of Virginia
