Meeting the Writer Behind the Words

I’m Annette Phillip, a Caribbean author who has been writing and publishing for several years now. I didn’t come to writing through a straight path—I came to it through lived experience, quiet observation, and a deep love for stories that explore what it means to change.
I write across genres, but at the heart of my work is transformation—especially the inner kind that doesn’t always announce itself loudly. My novel Nola’s Metamorphosis was born from questions about identity, womanhood, emotional growth, and the moments in life that reshape us in subtle but lasting ways.
I’m drawn to character-driven stories—stories where the internal journey matters just as much as the events on the page. I believe books can hold space for reflection, healing, and recognition, and that sometimes readers find themselves in the quietest lines.
I’m here to connect with fellow readers and writers, to share thoughts about books and storytelling, and to learn from the conversations that unfold along the way. I’m looking forward to being part of this community.
