Thank you to readers and a preview of my second thriller!
Hello everyone!
I want to thank all of you who have shared Mary Grace's journey in my debut novel, Saving Grace, along with your thoughts and reactions. This has been most gratifying to me as an author. And just between us, Mary Grace might not be finished talking to me. As you know, I left some loose ends, and perhaps another crime or two will occur that needs resolving. For those of you who would like to see Mary Grace return to Repentance, do reach out and let me know!
In the meantime, I have finished writing my second thriller. It is called First Victim, and will launch in spring/summer of 2022. I will be revealing more about the story in the coming weeks and months. For now, all I can say is that my protagonist this time around is a female Manhattan Supreme Court judge. Can Mary Grace be saved?
Is there anything worse than carrying a guilty secret? What if the answer is yes, and is even more terrible than you can imagine?
Mary Grace Dobbs is a young girl growing up in Repentance, Arkansas, struggling to cope with the sudden deaths of her parents. Her grief is a stone in her heart, weighing her down. She feels like a poor relation, forced to live with her Bible salesman uncle, MS-afflicted aunt, and older cousin who kills small animals. Her only escape is a cave that few in town know about, where she can be invisible and talk to her dead daddy.
But Mary Grace's life is about to change again, starting one hot August afternoon...
