In with the new
But not out with the old
My mind wanders. It always does when I'm writing. It must have something to do with being caught in the creative flow, all sorts of ideas percolate. Most help expand what I am currently writing, but some take me off on a new idea. When that happens, I usually pause my writing for a moment and jot them down somewhere to explore later. Some new fledging ideas, however, just won't let go. They refuse to be squeezed between closed pages and forced to wait to be heard.
While writing The Sunken Alliance, I encountered one of those impatient, pesky ideas that wanted to be explored there and then. And that is what I did. I explored it so much that I filled a note book on this new world and, as of yet, unnamed series, and finished a prequel, which will be released to my newsletter list soon.
Welcome to a new world of the paranormal.

Over halfway in 3rd book
Yeah! Scrivener has just informed me I am over halfway through the 3rd book in The Broken Kingdom series. I'm at 71,643 words and my characters have reached the point where things get worse for everyone and there's no return. They have to move forward or let the world collapse around them. The big climatic scene is firmly planted in my head, but plans for the last 1/4 of the book that will get me there is a little scratchy, which makes the writing journey more interesting and exciting as I'm always surprised at what I come up with on the fly.
Throughout my writing, I keep one thought to any trail of storyline I can extend that will prove a juicy addition for my VIP readers. So if you're interested in extra storyline from the series jump on to my email list. Easy signup on my website www.terinaadams.com. Already a goodie is waiting for you.
While writing The Broken Kingdom, I've begun developing another series and will begin announcing that soon. So stay tuned

Thanks for the awesome review
Thank you N.N. Light's Book Heaven blog for the awesome review of The King's Marked.
My Review:
You are drawn in by the evocative cover and the book never lets you go. Rya is a heroine that the world can embrace. This woman could be the leader of the world. She doesn't need more than six thrones, she has the power of a sword. A modern women - her companions vary from the boy next door to princes to dark creatures.
The King’s Marked flows with terrific detail. The reader is surrounded by the images created and feels transported to this land. A work filled with nonstop action and suspense. This book will appeal to every fan of the G of T but is worthy of its own place in entertainment history. A first book of what could be a bestselling series. A streaming service needs to get its hands on this. The King’s Marked could be a virtual water cooler show, talked about every week.
Action, suspense, romance, terror, magic, clashing swords, and locked lips. This book has everything the 21st-century reader is looking for. The world will be on edge waiting for book two.
My Rating: 5 stars

Slogging away on book 3
I'm well into book 3 of my Broken Kingdom series. I'm really excited to say this book, unlike the previous two in the series, is written from his/her dual perspective. So any of you fantasy romance readers out there that love dual perspective, this is for you.
It's taking me longer to write than the first two because I keep having to switch from Rya's head and into the head of the lead guy (I want tell you who he is).
So, I'm going to drop a snippet here for your pleasure.
Warning: this is all draft. It's likely messy and could change from the final manuscript that makes it to publication.
Heroes POV
What emotion had she felt in the moment she fell in a heap at my feet? Horror with herself for the desire? Yes, it had been there. Her heart beat fast, the pace quickening as I drew near. The speed of it likely driven by fear, but she had stilled, waiting, lost in the excitement of anticipation. I had felt the longing, the up tilt of her head, the incremental creep of her chin, positioning her lips toward mine, the held breath, the ripple of tension, the thrum of hunger, the moan. I arched my head and stretched back as I allowed the pleasurable memory of the moan to tease my ebbing desire.
