Poetry (Suicide Prevention Awareness Month)

They call you
Coward once
You are dead
But never once
They ask you
How can they help.
They call you a burden
If you try to open up
They mock your miseries
And call you a clown.
Once you are gone
They fake the sentiments
Telling others you were good
And they tried to support your illness.
But that’s not the truth
I am telling you today
Once you are gone from here
The other side has a better place
That saves you from the human disgrace.
