My name is Chris Barrie and I am a Scottish writer of speculative fiction, dark fantasy and high-concept thrillers. My stories blend cinematic tension, emotional character journeys and eerie, imaginative worlds where ordinary people are forced to confront impossible forces.

From ancient palaces and elemental powers to haunted futures, ruined cities and rain-soaked streets of Glasgow, my work explores courage, identity, belief and the strange things that wait just beyond the edge of the familiar.
