Deborah Foley is a mother, a grandmother, and a retired bookkeeper who lives near Buffalo, New York with her husband and their very energetic dog. She is the second daughter in an Irish American family of ten girls and one boy – yes, he is the baby in the family.

Her first writing adventure, Emma’s Song, was born from the pain of her son’s suicide and her desire to show how suicide affects those left behind. This was only the beginning though. Always an avid reader (some may use the word addict) she discovered a love of writing, too. The Second Daughters is the first book in an ongoing mystery series.
