Grigor Banushi was born in Tirana on October 2, 1948. After completing his higher education at the University of Tirana, in the Albanian Language and Literature department, he worked for some time as a teacher in the Puka district. From 1979 to 2013, he was a journalist at Radio Tirana. He published his first novel, The Death of Narcissus, in 1997, a novel that was followed by others: The Face of the Devil in 2009, The Sorrow of the Fairies in 2015, The Unfinished Symphony in 2017, The Scents of Autumn in 2018 and Waltz in the Desert in 2019.
