César Augusto nasceu em Fortaleza, no Ceará em 1989. Formado em Cinema e Audiovisual pela Universidade Federal do Ceará, César se divide entre a escrita de roteiros e a escrita literária. Em 2016 participou do Laboratório de Criação do Porto Iracema das artes com o projeto “Assuntos Inacabados”, onde teve tutoria dos diretores Karim Aïnouz, Sérgio Machado e Marcelo Gomes. Seu projeto de série, “Abissal” foi semifinalista do FRAPA - Festival de Roteiro e Audiovisual de Porto Alegre, em 2019, e seu projeto de longa, “O Carro do meu pai”, foi participante do laboratório de roteiros do Festival Varilux de Cinema Francês, também em 2019. “Galo de rinha” é seu primeiro conto.
