It's been a while since my initial, self-published edition of The Awakening landed. I was proud of it, but I felt there was more I could accomplish, and so I sought out publishers. The good people at Jumpmaster Press gave me an opportunity to update and enhance The Awakening, and from there, a new edition grew, and is now out for the world to see. I am eternally grateful to the support of my publisher, and I look forward to seeing where this journey goes next.

When I wrote The Awakening, I actually wrote one big story, that after a conversation with my brother (who kindly proof-read the story for me, as well as designing the cover), I decided needed work. Sometimes the toughest thing is to start over, however it can also be the best thing to happen to a story. I'm still incorporating pre-written elements, but adding new elements and expanding upon others. The sequel could well end up being a longer book, and a better book, than the original.
