Katharine has always dreamed of creating educational ocean-themed books that will make the world a better place. She is excited to be able to teach her young readers about the importance of our oceans while giving back to shark research and education through the sales of her books!

Her interest in the world underwater started early. As a kid, she spent her summers boating and fishing at a family cottage in New Hampshire. While earning her degree in fisheries and wildlife management from Michigan State University, she spent two semesters studying tropical fish ecology in the Bahamas and environmental management in Australia.
