No Surprise
Hi,
Well that's about it for a while. I'm stepping away from Goodreads. I haven't updated anything in a long time and until I am ready to make my next book available, I won't be on Goodreads.
Take Care and have fun reading.

No More
Hi those of you who actually read this.
For the time being I am not going to be adding to my blog, I know - big disappointment 😜
Thanks go out to the few who have taken the time to read my blog, my ramblings and thoughts.
I may come back to it one day but for now I am gone.

Something ...
Hi those of you who take the time to read my blog. It's been a while I know, I had a heart attack in early November last year and since then Writing much of anything has been an effort. Even actual reading has become harder, that's why all but one of my reviews lately have been of Audio books rather than my actual to be read list.
I'd like to say I'm back in the swing of things now, but I can't. It seems for every one step I move forward, I move a step left and then back. The doctors have been great. For a couple of weeks there I thought I had gained some real forward momentum. Then the angina returned last night. One step back. I wasn't doing anything at the time, I was asleep and awoke with chest pain. I took the nitro-glycerine spray and the pain abated and I eventually got back to sleep. It really puts a dampener on your day.
So, I haven't been much of an author lately. I've done some writing, mostly note taking and I have been trying to recall some of the stories from my childhood and write them down for my kids. If I find them interesting enough who knows maybe I'll let others read them.
Well that's not much of an update but at least it is something.
Take Care of yourself and your loved ones.

Strange feelings
Well, I'm here blogging again and on the right day. Not a bad result.
Still struggling with the reading and I have had to push back my specialist (eye doctor) appointment by two weeks because I need someone to take me, it's the drops they put in your eyes, you're not supposed to drive afterwards.
Having said that I can now read a couple of pages and while it's not easy I have to push myself otherwise I may as well give up on ever being able to read again. You have to be able to read, to write don't you? Though Google's new phone is supposed to be really, really good at the whole speech to text thing. That's not a route I fancy taking, I enjoy typing, it's kind of therapeutic.
Once I can comfortably read again I will be finishing off my Ardamin trilogy. Fingers crossed for that. Have a great week.

People's of the ...
Hi, I'm back trying to blogger and write here more often. How are you? I hope you, all, are well and happy.
As per my last blog post I am still trying to get used to these glasses and my new field of vision. I thought I was doing well with only short reading sessions and I was okay whilst driving. Enough anyway to return to my volunteer job at Guide Dogs WA. As it turned out, I wasn't.
Yesterday while I was out doing my usual rounds I started to feel rather nauseous. I hoped that it would wear off but whenever I placed my glasses on to read the next shop to go to the nausea would return and get worse. It seemed to have an accumulative action. So much so I had to return to base without finishing my run.
To cut a long boring story short I'm not used to my new eyesight yet. Finger's crossed for next week.
Take Care one and all,

The eyes of an eagle and a mole..
Hello, how are you? It's been a while. No I haven't gotten better at keeping a blog, as if you could not guess. My second eye operation has been successfully completed and I am fine, thank you for asking.
Thanks to my new eye lenses I can see at a distance, something I lost around the age of 25. For over thirty years I have been short-sighted, then at the age of 49/50 I needed glasses to read but I could still see close up things quite well enough to not always use them. Now my distance vision is perfect and I hope that lasts a long time. But, my close up vision is gone. I cannot see anything properly unless it's 6 to 10 feet away. It was the type of lenses I chose or rather were recommended because of my type 2 diabetes.
So now I am trying to get used to wearing glasses for writing, cooking, cleaning, everything you do at a distance of less than 6 feet. Not very bookish I know but this blog is more about me than my books but I will be going back to my books soon, once I am a little more comfortable with my vision.
Take care,
R.G. Tully

Missing me?
Hi those devoted followers of my blog, so many of you or at least there is in my imagination 😉
As you can tell I've been away for a while, mostly through illness followed by eye surgery. I have the second go at that in October after my book is released.
On the book releasing front, all is well and I will be launching on September 30th. This book has been stalled and stalled but it is finally coming and I can't wait. I hope you like it.
I'd like to say more but I got very little sleep last night which is compounding my dyslexia so here I will end it.
Take Care one and all.

What's up
Hi readers,
Well it's about time I told you what I've been up to for the last few months or more. I've been beta reading for a fellow author with a rather long novel which they may or may not release in several parts. I think there was at least two books in it but that's just my point of view.
I've also been ARC reading for the wonderful author, Freya McMillan, and her new novel, which shall be debuting soon, Anti-Virus. I'm about to place my review of her book up here on Goodreads in the next few minutes, after I finish posting this blog update.
As for my own novel Ardamin: The Hunted. It is progressing through the ususal steps. ISBN and sent in to the Library of Congress, and the rather scary part as it went out to my ARC team this week. Yep it is out there in the hands of readers, I am wondering what they will make of it? Well, I'll find out soon enough I suppose. Also in the next couple of weeks I shall be announcing a launch date - around 6 to 8 weeks away.
Well that's what's up.
Have a great week.

Format
Hi people who read my blog, or looking back at my blog,
Not a long entry today. I thought I would let you know that Ardamin: The Hunted is being formatted. Once formatted and ISBN purchased it will be off to the Library of Congress for copyright protection. After that, well it will be going out to my ARC readers. If you would like to be and ARC reader either drop me a message or an email and you could get your copy for free, and I will be sending something special to the ARC readers so get in while you can. A few extra ARC readers would not go astray.
Well that's about it, thanks for reading my blog, Take Care and see you next time.

Low Energy State
Okay, I'll admit it. I haven't been keeping up my blogging. I'm sorry but blogging about nothing is kind of boring and that's the problem with blogging. Oh it may contain some great pearls from time to time but most of the time our lives are fairly boring. Even a writer's life isn't that exciting, especially this writer. I admit to being a boring old fart, with a strange imagination.
Don't count on my blog being regular, I tried and I'm just not into it. I will still put out blog posts here on Goodreads, just trying to be regular with it, isn't going to work for me.
Take Care
