When weekly vocabulary lists were distributed, we got to write stories using all the words. What could be better?

When asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, the secret answer was 'writer'. Astronaut was the alternative, but at the time girls weren't allowed.

In high school, my creative writing teacher had us write an essay. Punctuation and spelling were part of the grade. My essay was about e e cummings and Edgar Allen Poe failing her class.

Writing has always been a passion. Now it's a passion shared. Inspiration is anywhere and everywhere. We are an interesting species, you never know what one might do.
