Ionuţ Sorin Popşea s-a născut pe 24 martie 1986, în Oradea. Provine dintr-o familie modestă, deloc ocolită de probleme. Scrie primele versuri la vârsta de 9 ani într-un caiet de Limba Română, iar undeva prin clasa a 6-a descoperă pe unul din rafturile bibliotecii de la şcoală, un volum de Baudelaire ("les fleurs du mal"), care până în ziua de azi rămâne pentru autor o icoană demnă de venerare. După terminarea liceului Vasile Voiculescu din Oradea, se înscrie la "Facultatea de Relaţii Internaţionale şi Studii Europene" din acelaşi oraş, unde va şi continua până la finalizarea unui masterat în "Dezvoltare Regională şi Comunicare între Instituţiile Europene".
