Aldo Galli was born in Saronno, Italy, in 1966.
Since a young age, Aldo loved nature and all its wonders. And always loved drawing and painting. These interests have strongly influenced his choices in life: he pursued a scientific education―graduating in Agricultural Sciences in 1992―and took up courses to learn how to paint with oils in wet on wet.
As an author/illustrator, he can now combine his passions together and craft meaningful stories that can make a difference―from championing the natural world to promoting great values and learning having fun.

What are you currently working on?

Aldo Galli Rusty two, of course, “Across the Great River”, but also all of my other stories that have not been published yet! As an author/illustrator, when I ha…moreRusty two, of course, “Across the Great River”, but also all of my other stories that have not been published yet! As an author/illustrator, when I have an idea, I “see” it all at once in my mind as images and texts together. It’s a quite extraordinary, exciting, and overwhelming experience. I block down quickly sketches and sentences as soon as I can and then I develop them with calm afterwards. I re-work on the texts and re-elaborate sketches to create a full dummy of the stories. Rusty one is now published, but I envisaged 9 stories. I completed dummies for Rusty 2 to 7, still needs to finish writing and sketching 8 and 9, though. My adventures in the natural world also span across the globe, not just the Amazon: my goal is to truly inspire young readers and show them what an amazing planet we inhabit! So there are many more unique characters to discover. If Rusty is well received, I would love to dedicate my whole time to the cause!(less)
