Dr. Sona Bhatnagar, M.D. spent her early childhood in Africa and India and moved with her family to the United States when she was eleven. From early childhood, Bhatnagar had a desire to heal others, after following and watching her doctor father treat village patients, an inclination that propelled her to become a medical doctor.

She received her medical degree from the University of Florida in 1990 and completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Maryland. She supplements her standard medical training with knowledge of alternative therapeutic techniques, including Reiki and Emotional Freedom Techniques. Bhatnagar practiced in Maryland for more than twenty years.
