Dayciaa C. Smith is a contemporary Christian writer of both fiction (novels and short stories), as well as inspirational non-fiction (devotionals and self-help guides). She is a native of Memphis, TN. She grew up as military dependent with the benefit of various multicultural experiences and global opportunities. She is a graduate of Vanderbilt University (B.A.), The University of Memphis (M.S.) and Union University (Ed.D.). She has twenty years of School Counseling experience and professional writing experience. Her writing merits include publication in Chicken Soup for the African American Woman’s Soul (“Single Mommy Love,” page 101), past participation in the Memphis Black Writers Conference and completion of over ten writing projects.
