I read an article about the effects of abortion from the perspective of men, and it got my creative juices flowing, because you rarely hear about how abortions affect males. So, I decided to write a story about a couple in love, Ash and Brooke, whose relationship is tested when she becomes pregnant and wants to terminate her pregnancy rather than sacrifice her career as a cellist in the Chicago Philharmonic. He offers to raise the child on his own, but she isn't interested. Ash takes a trip to a small town in Raindrop, New Hampshire to think about the shambles of his life and marriage, and he meets an unexpected group of people who support him through the tumultuous relationship that ensues between him and his wife.(less)
