Brett is a Christian fiction author who has been an avid reader from the time he learned to read. Growing up, his favorite books were Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys mysteries.

As he grew older, even to this day, his favorite authors include Mary Higgins Clark, John Grisham, and Robin Cook, to name a few.

Three of his five books have hit the Amazon Top 5 Best-Seller list, and he is an award-winning author.

His first novel "A Christmas to Live For" won the gold medal in Christian Fiction in the 2021 Readers' Favorite Awards, and his novel "War Songs" won the silver medal in Christian Fiction in the 2022 Global Book Awards.

I read an article about the effects of abortion from the perspective of men, and it got my creative juices flowing, because you rarely hear about how abortions affect males. So, I decided to write a story about a couple in love, Ash and Brooke, whose relationship is tested when she becomes pregnant and wants to terminate her pregnancy rather than sacrifice her career as a cellist in the Chicago Philharmonic. He offers to raise the child on his own, but she isn't interested. Ash takes a trip to a small town in Raindrop, New Hampshire to think about the shambles of his life and marriage, and he meets an unexpected group of people who support him through the tumultuous relationship that ensues between him and his wife.(less)

As a person, I have a strong dislike of social media.

As an author, I like to participate in reader and author groups on social media because it’s nice to see how readers react to books and authors. Or at least I thought so.
