Signs Your Soul Is Trying to Get Your Attention

I've been thinking a lot lately about how quietly this usually starts.

Not a lightning bolt. Not a dramatic before-and-after. Just a small, persistent ache — the kind you can't quite name, but also can't quite ignore.

If any of this sounds familiar, I don't think it's a coincidence you're reading this:

A pull toward something you can't explain — not a plan, not a goal, just a pull.
Old ways of coping (busyness, distraction, keeping the peace) starting to feel hollow instead of soothing.

The same message showing up again and again, in a book, a conversation, a strange coincidence — until it feels too specific to be random.

A quiet disconnect from a life that used to feel like enough.

Tears that show up for no clear reason, like something old finally has room to surface.

I wrote This Book Found You Because Your Soul Whispered for exactly this moment — for the ones who feel pulled for no reason, until the reason reveals itself. For the quiet feelers, the deep thinkers, the tired hearts still hoping.

If any of this resonated, I'd love for you to follow along here on Goodreads — I'll be sharing more reflections like this one as I go.

This book found you because your soul whispered… now what?

There is a reason you’re here.
Not by accident.
Not by coincidence.
Something in you—quiet, but persistent—has been whispering for more.
More truth.
More peace.
More of you.
If you’ve ever felt like you were just surviving…
like parts of you were carrying something heavy that no one else could see…
like you’ve been doing the work, yet still finding yourself triggered some days…
I want you to hear this clearly:
You are not broken.
What you’re experiencing is not failure—it’s awareness.
Your body remembers.
Your nervous system learned how to protect you.
Your emotions are not the problem—they are messengers.
And healing?
Healing is not a straight line.
It’s a return.
A remembering.
A soft, sometimes messy unfolding back into yourself.
Here’s a gentle practice you can try today:
5-Minute Reset for Emotional Overwhelm

Pause and place your hand over your heart or chest
Take a slow, steady breath out (longer than the inhale)
Ask yourself: “What am I feeling right now—without the story?”
Notice where that feeling lives in your body
Whisper to yourself: “I am safe enough in this moment.”

That’s it.
No fixing. No forcing. Just noticing.
Because emotional intelligence isn’t about controlling yourself—
it’s about understanding yourself with compassion.
This space I’m creating here is for exactly that.
Each week, I’ll be sharing:
✨ trauma-informed reflections
✨ emotional intelligence tools you can use in real life
✨ gentle practices for healing, growth, and self-trust
✨ small steps toward living a life that actually feels like yours
If something in this spoke to you…
if you felt even a small “yes” inside…
Follow me here so these posts find you when you need them.
You don’t have to do this alone.
And wherever you are in your journey—
you are already closer than you think. Beronica Parham
