Mia got her start filling notebook after notebook with loops she called cursive. As a Mexican American, she dreamed of stories with a Mexican heroine but could not find exactly what she was looking for, so she decided to write her own stories. Mia has a Bachelor’s degree in History and Medieval Studies from the University of Notre Dame and a Master’s degree in Education from Boston University. She currently lives in England with her husband and adorable puppy.
