Seriously. Force yourself to write a thousand words about ANYTHING. Even if it's about your belly button. Me and Phil do character-based writing, so we're less concerned with following a script as we are with "what would Max do in this situation?" That has helped us immensely, but even still...

The only way past writer's block is to kick it in the face, write anyway, and suffer. Maybe some alcohol can liberate the creative juices, but I obviously suggest in moderation!

And always edit sober.(less)

I know this seems trite, but I'm dead serious. Find an online community and WRITE. You need the practice. Trust me. So practice! Previous generations needed writing groups, seminars and symposia to practice effectively; all you need is Royal Road and a thick skin!(less)
